After the foxsports thread I don't want to say too much as I might offend kungfoosing who obviously has a passion for the sport. I'll just say I don't think it is for me.

Obivously when you move to Brisbane you'll have the opportunity to go along to the gabba and watch the lions. Go along and see if you like it.

Now Dave, I've got a passion for all sports, what I didn't like was the derogatory terms used to describe it. If you don't like the game fine, no issue, using terms as they were used isn't helping. As I said, its no different to condoning some wanker who uses the term wogball. NO game is going to be able to grow if shit like that keeps happening.

Tricky, if you're moving to Brisbane then that club is gotta be the obvious choice. Successful culture, young playing list and they have the best (equal best maybe) player in the comp.

As someone mentioned, its a hard game for the newb to follow on TV because the cameras follow individual passages of play a lot closer (rather than a wider shot of a larger section of the ground). You gotta get to a game to understand it better.

Just don't pick Carlton/Collingwood/Essendon, you can equate those clubs to your Chelski/Liverpool/Arse/ManUre clubs.

AFL is not that big in QLD, more south of Australia where the majority of teams are based, as soon as I see it on TV im flicking the channel and will even settle for Cricket over it Smile

The VB series two years ago I think I was drunk through most of it Smile

In our house we love the AFL. Paul is a crows fans and cause I grew up in the Port area so Im a Power fan. Makes for good watching during the season. Oh the arguements and the making up stuff is fun. It is seperate rooms at 10 paces when we are playing each other. Each to their own I suppose. I think Rugby in any form is stupid. I thought Soccer was a poofs game till Paul got me involved (the bastard). Now I love it.
