FIFA or PES

Postby TheRedRisky on Tue Dec 18, 2007 1:30 am

Hello everyone. Just a quick question.

For your football gaming needs. Do you prefer FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer.

...or even sensible soccer or winning eleven.

Personally im a FIFA man. 2 reasons wh.

1) LICENSES. I Want to play as West Ham. And theres nothing quite like scoring a goal for your club.

2) It was the first football game i played on aconsole. I got fifa 97 when i received my very first playstation 10 years ago. Ian Dowie was still play ing for us and we had Ludo in goal.

What do you prefer?

Winning Eleven IS Pro Evo, it's the same game! ;)

I'm a Pro Evo fan, by a long way.. Yes the licences in Fifa are good, but you can modify the teams (I did it a couple of years ago with the full West Ham team.. took me several hours) and even buy memory cards off the net with full teams on them. So that doesn't matter so much.

As far as gameplay is concerned Pro Evo is miles in front. Fifa is totally unrealistic but with Pro Evo, those occasions where you manage to score a cracker volley or diving header really make it worthwhile. In Fifa you do it every time, but in Pro Evo you feel like you really earned it, and a spectacular goal is genuinely spectacular because of its realistic level of difficulty. And you need to use tactics more rather than just have a single guy take on the whole team and score - the tactics are far more realistic.

So it's easily Pro Evo for me - I haven't even bought a Fifa game since about 2000.

Well I didnt no W11 was the same.

anyway Fifa08 on the next gen consoles is much much much more realistic in comparison to previous games. You have ot really work the ball around , and im yet to score a spectacular volley and only maybe 1 diving header.

I'd suggest giving it ago

Pro Evo baby! Didn't even have to think twice bout this one.

Superior in every way.

I wouldn't even waste my money on a title like FIFA that would be at the level of production Pro Evo was at 4-5 years ago.

Oh and if i'm not mistaken Pro Evo has had licensed Premier League teams for a few years now (don't know about this years version because i haven't played it) so all you FIFA lovers have been wasting your time the last few years.

I've always been a FIFA man and i guess i just keep getting FIFA coz im use to it. I have heard that PES has better gameplay but who cares FIFA's is alright for me so i'll keep going with it.

You can't buy a game that calls it 'soccer'

FIFA man myself too. I recall playing it around 1996 on an old Mega Drive. It was woeful thinking back but we used to play a game called "Chin to Win" ie basically how many of your players could get sent off or how many opposition you could cripple.

Have always been a FIFA mana although never a fan of the tournament ones as they didn't appear to offer anything other than a single player finals format whereas standard Fifa releases had multi-team support and used to provide endless hours of post-boozer entertainment til the small hours.
